Allow myself to introduce...

...myself (Austin Powers reference there for those who didn't get it )

Hi all, as you can see this is my first post. I come running here from the want ad digest looking at a 96 Regal Valenti bowrider 22'. An acquaintance who has owned a Regal said stay away from Regals. I do not know on what he basis this advice. I don't know much about this fella so I don't put much stock in his assessment and here I seek your expertise! I've done searches online but have found nothing regarding quality or rep of Regal - can anyone pls give me some feedback here?

Without seeing the craft, here's what I know:
- asking $10,000
- ~300 hrs
- I/O
- mint condition (as told by seller)
- took boat over from brother who maintained it very well
- always garaged
- selling due to no time/desire to use
- has many extras (covers, tops, etc)
- 2 year old trailer
- no work done
- no cosmetic/other damage

Based on this very basic info, can anyone give me some advice/notes/caveats?

I sincerely appreciate your replies!

Until the end of last year, I did all the Volvo warranty work at the Regal plant in Orlando. We have been working with them for years. I recently moved to Milwaukee to expand the business, consequently don't do the warranties there any more. They have a fantastic product and one of the best customer service departments I've ever seen. For example, a customer of ours bought a Regal last December. Even though the five year hull warranty was expired by seven months, they took care of a discolored area in the deck gelcoat. They also waxed the whole boat. Besides the high quality of their construction, they are great running boats. I hope thsi helps you. For the value check the blue book online.
