| 1980-90 SEAFIRE Alumunim Skiff ???? Looking for information on an Aluminum skiff design from 10 to 15 years ago. It was called Sea-Fire or SEAFIRE to my best recollection @ 29ft LOA. The design used an outboard motor well mounted in the first third of the boat forward of the center console. The hull rode on the prop wash. The engine mount area was credited to australian net boaters - 'front well drive". The stern was a step down low at water line and rounded as in a tug boat butt. They were all aluminum and used a square pattern check plate on the decks. I would like to know if any of these are available or if the performance would warrant a resurection of the design. tr.congleton@rogers.com / 416.566.2718 |

| Just saw one at 'Shell Island Fish Camp' St.Marks, Fl. phone 850-925-6226 I was there over the weekend and was curious about the all aluminum 30' boat in the 'Hi & Dry' My buddy & I went over to try to figure how the center console was powered, As it had a platform on the rear deck and a rounded and beveled stern. Tuned out it was set up for an outboard motor just forward of the center console like a mullet boat. Looked very well build and we were curious as to how it might handle. We did not get any info on it but I was searching the internet and found your post. It looked like it was not being used as it didn't have a motor. But looked in good condition. |
