1973 cary boat i am considering buying a 1973 cary marine boat on the internet. i know this sounds crazy but i love the quality of the boat. the vin number is crm11112711 and it has 2 inboard engines. it is red . it is a 1973. i know this is the year they sold . the engines have low hours, and i am excited. there are multiple photos . i am not looking for a value but does the 27 mean 27 feet, and was this model still a legitamate cary. could this boat be one of the last vessels they made ? i truly love their boats, have seen and drove them , but could not afford ! tell me all you can about this boat please !

Mr. Cary I have a Cary 19 I got from an old man in Homestead, who said that this boat was highly sought after, I'm currently redoing the boat myself any information you could tell me about the boat would be helpful, one problem I have is I cant decide if I want to hang the new outboard on the transom or put it on a bracket, I was going to repower with a 150 to 225hp not sure yet, and if you could tell me how fast the boat was with the 150hp it came with thank-you

Anyone know anything about the Cary 19 1968 Hull# 43 ?? How good of a boat is this, it seems a lot of old timers really like this boat. Currently I have cut the floor out removed all the hardware, center console, redone the transom and replaced the front floor section with core board, replaced the gas tank relocating it under the floor and have decided not to refoam out the boat because all the foam I removed was water logged I had to replace some of the stringers really only the ones running cross ways and where they meet the transom. I will post some PICS this weekend to show my progress.

Hey I am really glad I found this website. I have a 19' Cary center console. It is a 1970 and has a 150 suzuki 2 stroke. It runs normally 54-55 and I have had it 58 on flat water and empty. I would love to talk to some people who own, or have seen another one of these boats as this is the only one i have ever seen like it. My dad owned this exact boat over 21 year ago. He sold it to start up his business. I found the boat and bought it back.

A small piece of Cary History: After Don Arronow sold Magnum Marine he had his friend "Cary" build his new race boat due to his non compete clause from Magnum's sale. That very famous boat, named, "The Cigarette" after an old rum running legend, became the model from which Don's next boat company, The Cigarette Racing Team, would be based.

the cary boat company Just wanted to let everyone know about the cary boat company, they are ok boats but I did some investigating at the library and read for about 3 hours on the company and found out they sold because they were having problems with the hull and stern areas of there boats back in the 60's and 70's, I can say that it would be a good boat cause they where built like a tank and that they are a very heavy boats, So but dont plan on saving any gas with these they are built heavy very heavy, you may even have to put in alot of time on the stern and hulls just to make sure nothing happens. I read that most of the problems were in the 60's amd 70's. The Donzi is also a whole different company than the cary/ carey some people just don't know that company and I new nothing about them til I did my homework. The cary or carey some people say is not and never will be the forrunner of the DONZI. The Donzi is a one of a kind, stand alone. The cary or Carey is an ok boat if you want to spend time and maybe money on but overall if you do the work on your own boat you should be happy cause you did it!

Just remember the DONZI is a one of a kind. Back in the days old the cary just was not the boat for pleasure, it was a boat for indurance and speed.
