17' Sundance Skiff

I purchased a 17' Sundance Skiff in June and every time I take it out if I cross another boat's wake the boat will wet me. I have been told maybe the motor is not deep enough on the transom. Any help would be apreciated. I have tried everyway to cross the wakes with no success.

How fast are you going? Are you approaching the wake head on? This boat is similar to the Carolina Skiff. They are wet boats!!
