| 12' and 14 ' alu max speed? Im going to be getting a 12' or 14' aluminum deep v boat soon and was wondering what speed each would go with a 10 hp motor or a 20 hp motor. I weigh 160lbs I bring around 10 pounds of gear and the 12' boat weighs approx 120lbs and the 14' approx 140lbs. Thanks |

| Lots of deep vee alum boats around here, so you can go out in the bays and large rivers in the wind. a 10 should get you to 15-18mph, a 20 maybe 20-22mph, depending on how you prop it. 2 strokes seem a bit faster than 4. |
