    It is a 40hp 4 cylinder 1993. model 1040213nd catalog no.814698
    I have one too.

    Mercury Classic

    It is a 1993 40 HP Classic 4 cylinder Model 1040213ND Catalog NO.814698
    I have one as well.

    The dealers need to call Merc who do worldwide computer look up if its not an OZ delivered engine.
    They can tell you date of w/tee registration and if any w/tee claims were ever made.
    I used that in the 80's it still works.
    OMC can do the same from about 1990

    Any idea where to get a service manual for Mercury 40 hp 4 Cylinder Oil injected outboard. Not sure on the year but must be between 89 and 94
