Vintage Evinrude--V4 power trim on a 40hp Lark?

Just looking for some help here. Can a Prestolite power trim from a late-50's early 60's V4 Evinrude be adapted to fit a 1961 Lark III 40HP? Or am I just a complete fool for even thinking it is possible?
