tiller to steering wheel?

I may be building a mini tug with between a 5 and 10 horsepower motor with a tiller control. the motor will be hidden from view so i need to know how to steer the motor from the wheelhouse and and also control neutral, reverse, forward, and throttle from the wheelhouse also. how can I do this? for steering i was thinking of something like a pully system but i dont know how to do the throttle and gears.
Thanks, Blake

here is the boat i am looking to build

I think you want Morse cables:

Decided to construct our own remote steering and throttle, as we had difficulties finding kits made for our 4 hp outboard. If it's any help, see what we've done:

Have fun.

I decided it would be easier to have the outboard stationary and have a rudder.
I still need to figure out how to connect the throttle and shifting control to the motor, and what i should use as the throttle control and gear control lever?

You could place the o/b right up front (at the bow, instead of the transom), and steer it directly (with a cycle-type bar or a wheel attached on top of it). This will solve your throttle and shift problem. In fact it is probably a more efficient means of propulsion. There is no reason why props must be at the back.

Alternatively, you could use a DC (electric) motor. Then you can put the throttle anywhere. Reverse is simply reversing polarity -- no gears. Much cleaner!

Some engines have ahead, free and reverse on the tiller handle, just get an extension tube that fits directly onto that.
If you will have internal steering/ gearshift, Rick is spot on.

Is not. One extra hole through the hull. Plus steering for that again. Go for the flex wire that Rick directed to, or go for wire steering of the Outboard, just use wires and blocks, for an engine, that size, it'll work fine.
