still nothing

I have tried all that I know, I have ran carb cleaner thru the gas, I have followed the lines to the filters and cleaned them, I have checked the water circulation which flows very well, I have sprayed carb cleaner thru the carbs, I have changed plugs etc. and still, no top end. I just don't get it, it runs so well, so smooth, not a miss or rough idle at all, and at full throttle, she goes just as well, just with no speed. I have tried to check the linkage, figures maybe something vibrated loose on the drive from Florida to Maine, but am not sure what to look for. Was told that maybe my top end jets were stuck and to keep running cleaner thru the carbs, was also told that it would be about fifty dollars for parts and about 4 hours worth of work making it to be around 400 dollars for the fix at the local boat shop, which I CANNOT afford, so, any suggestions, somethinf simple I may be over looking?
Ater I sit with the motor off for a bit afloat, she seems likes she wants to go when I first give it throttle after restart, kinda lurches, but then settles back to slow...still sounds like a fuel line to me...what do you think?

Suffering similiar problems. It sounds like the carb is gummed up. Talked with a local repairman, he said it may take a couple hours of soaking to get all the narrow passageways clean. You should be able to remove the carb with a few simple tools. Soak it for a couple hours in carb cleaner, shake/blow it out real well and try again. Some of the jets in the carb aren't much bigger than a needle, doesn't take much to plug them up. If you remove/dissassemble anything make sure you replace the gasket. Most gaskets cannot be reused, will leak air futher complicating your troubleshooting.

TY!!!
I figured it was prob. in the fuel system somewhere.
Talked with my brother who I got the boat from, he said it has sat since I left there 3 years ago, other than the occassional start, it has not been ran.
Hopefully I can solve the problem with spray in carb cleaner I bought, made for Johnson motors. The thought of taking off the carbs let alone trying to take them apart does not set well with me...lol, not very good at that sort of think.
Again, thanks for the info.
