rewireing outboard 1993 cobra bass boat

i just bought a boat and the 70 hp mercury motorruns but the tilt trim switch is broke and the wireing up to the trolling motor outlet isnt working and i dont know if the bielge pump works or not basically i want to re wire the console with fresh rocker switches and ignition and what ever else i may need on the dash like the live well aireater on off switch and maybe a radio. is there a book any one can recommend on basic boating wireing . can someone run down the basic wireing diagram with me. i already started running wires down . i know that i have a brn wire and a blk wire going too the bielge pump and a couple blue wires going to the front of the boat i think their for the nav lights . appreciate any help how do u test the bielge pump? i got a lot of questions thanks blain
