| remaned power head problems 140 evinrude I need some advice I had powerhead replaced by an outboard mechanic, carbs rebuilt ,new vro pump, new coils,plugs wires,power pack etc. heads leak water externally (visible streams of salt) they leak even after beeing retightened several times, runs good underway but ideling it stalls and it is hard to restart. only have 30 hours on new powerhead ......making me crazy any ideas |

| It looks like the surface of the block, heads or both are either warped or corroded. Overtightening makes the problem worse. You need to remove the heads and inspect the surfaces with a straight edge.
