Problems with my 15 horse evirude.. made in the '80s

My motor wont run 100%. I've checked the carb. and it wasnt the problem. The spark plugs are good. Sometimes ill be going full throttle and its running about 25% of what it usally does, and it'll just kick up and run 100% percent. Then it will bog down again and go 25%. Suggestions anyone?

If you have an external tank, check the fuel hose connector and the rest of the fuel hose connections. Sounds like you might be sucking some air causing a loss of fuel flow.

Leaks

Check the condition of the hose and the ball. Any cracks replace it. If it is good shape make sure the hose clamps/connectors are tight. Try to recrimp any band type clamps. If you determine the connection at the motor is bad, due to it's age you might not be able to just buy the female connector. If that is the case, just replace both halves.

Easy way to test leaks with external tanks is to lift the tank a bit higher than the carborator to see if it changes anything...
