    Ahoy there shipmates,
    I have a Yamaha 5hp aircooled 2 stroke outboard (5 BS)
I think it is pre-80's.Number 661S 00219?(last number scratched off)
I am trying to find out the points gap.
These engines were not sold in America until 1984,prior to which they were slightly different. They were sold in Europe before 1984.
The only difference I can find out is in the spark plug numbers.
    Europe-NGK B6HS. America-NGK BHS.
I am not sure if both models have the same points settings.
Seeing as the points gap can advance or retard the igniton,I would like to find out the correct setting.
The gap at the moment is less than 15 thou, and although the motor runs,I would like to set it to the right gap.
This is the only thing I need to find out,so downloading a manual is a bit over the top.
I am hoping someone has the info.
All 3 of my Evinrudes are set at 20 thou,as per book.
Any info will be gratefully received.
