Merc Prop/Trolling Motor

I have a couple of quick questions, I am new to this.

First, I recently bought a 16' fiberglass bass boat w/ a 1972 50 HP mercury outboard. I would like to get a new prop, one that will maximize speed and performance. Can someone point me in the right direction. I think I would prefer aluminum because of the price difference, but I would like to here any advice.

Secondly, I am going to ask for a trolling motor for Christmas. What size thrust should I get. The boat is very light, I can move it on the trailer by myself. Also, what brand trolling motor would you all recommend?

I think that is all for now, thanks
