Search all the brands and look at their spec sheets.

I would take a guess and say Tohatsu. But then again that would also include Mercury since Tohatsu build their two stroke engines in this range..

For tenders we prefer lightweights. The Yamaha 25hp 2 stroke was the lightweight king at 105lbs. The merc tohitsu 25hp 2 stroke is 114lbs. All three were good motors

Do some googling or ask a dealer.....you can still purchase this yam 25 and the Merc 25new in the US.

Thank you Michael.
The Yamaha 25 2-stroke at 105lbs sounds good with a 9 lb advantage.

FWIW the current 4-stroke tohitsu 25hp has increased to 157 lbs at http://www.tohatsu.com/outboards/25_4st_spec.html !
The 15 and 20 hp 4-stroke tohatsu's are 114.4 lbs still http://www.tohatsu.com/outboards/20_4st_spec.html

An electric outboard will be the lightest weight on the transom.
Of course, the weight of the batteries is substantially more.
But if you want something lightweight to put on and off, to avoid theft for example, the batteries don't have to move.

I think a hydraulic drive would take this to another level of lightweight,
as a hydraulic drive motor is very light, all the weight is in the pump
to drive it, not sure any of these exist commercially.
