| Well, the Honda's at http://honda.ca/MarineEng/Models/30-...page=techspecs Standard is a 10 A alternator (126 watts) on the 552 cc powerhead. Won't be running any air conditioners but that'll take care of your electronics and a few lights. It's stock prop is a 9.25x12". Kind of small and steep for a boat that size, if you ask me. I'd go up a bit in diameter and down in pitch. Now the equivalent Merc. http://www.mercurymarine.com/30_efi2 More electrical power, at 15 A (186 watts). Prop not included, can probably handle a 10" dia. but ask your dealer. A bit less displacement (526 cc) than the H. with a similar max RPM (6200), so probably a bit more high strung; also a bit heavier.

| What about a 4hp on the tender tied to the side?17000lb was okay. I got about for years like that. On passage I stowed the inflateable under p q berth and ob under s q berth. Solar panel lashed to pushpit could come inside if the weather blew up. Sake aint to flash but the shouchu (vodka) is all right ![]() |

| I would stay away from Mercury if I was you. I have had two of them and had nothing but trouble, and everyone I know that has ever had one more than a few years old have had trouble. I would get a Johnson or Yamaha 4 stroke. |
