Johnson Lower Units

Would anyone know if a 1990 Johnson 90 HP lower unit

would fit onto a

1996 Johnson 90 HP

I think youll find the drive shaft length will be the problem
The 90 has a one piece drive shaft and the 3 cyl 90 from 96 has a 2 piece.
When they changed over the crankshaft and drive shaft length changed.
You'll see it if you have both side by side.

It depends on the model type.

They made loopers and crossflows during that time frame, they used different components.

Crossflows will fit between those two years, but you will need a different drive shaft due to the difference in length. The shaft length changed some time around 91.

I think the loopers will fit as is, I don't remember a change during that time peroid.

lower units from 1990 Johnsons

I have 2 good used fresh water lower units from 1990 Johnsons.

they fit 85 to 150 HP Johnson/Everudes

for sale or trade for firearms or Guitars/Amps

$500 each

Get them out of my basement! I need the room
