Johnson 70 hp ID

I have two older johnson 70 hp outboards that I need to id. I got these numbers off the seal plugs:J70TLCRD & J70873CRD.The J70TLCRD I id as an 84,not sure if it's correct,can't find the other.

yes 84 and a
J70873 is a 78 70
A photo of the powerhead would confirm that

The OMC code for both Evinrude and Johnson is as follows. Don't mind the other letters for this.
INTRODUCES
0123456789
Example : 110TLRECS would be a '87 "EC"

Earlier years have the last two digits of the year model.

Example: 135TLR73S would be a "73 model
