Johnson 25 hp rebuild

I am a new member to your forum. I plan to completely overhaul a '73 25 hp Johnson outboard motor. Have obtained service manuals. Plan to purchase special tools as needed. Any recommendations on preferred tear-down/rebuild sequence? Engine is in good shape for its age. Overhaul is for my own peace of mind and enjoyment. I like restoring machinery to its orginal factory specifications. Will OEM/aftermarket parts be difficult to locate? Any suggestions or advice would be most appreciated.
