Johnson 120HP

Hi. Can anyone help.

Recently I,ve had trouble with the power tilt on my engine, I think it,s losing fluid as I,ve had to top it up twice recently to make it work.

Is this an easy thing to check and repair, or do I need to get a mechanic. I,m ok with straightforward repairs, but I,ve never worked on a tilt mechanism before.

Thanks

BW

corpsup on those johnsons there are small gaskets around the trim and tilt rods . They are located inside the caps that make up the tops of the cylinders. What u have to do if u want to save them is buy make a spaner wrench to fit in the holes on the cap,but if u are goin to replace them as I did take a hammer and a small drift pin and tap them lose in thecorrect direction good luck.
