| how to design the transom angle with suzuki 300hp How are you there? I'm going to design the aluminum boat with suzuki 300DF outboard motor. But, unfortunately I cannot be taken the drawings from the company. anyway, I have to deside the angle of transom. When I saw the drawing in some web site by jpg.file , the naturally hull transom angle is shown the 14+6(for forward trims)=20 degrees. And some dealer adviced me naturally hull transom angle is 14 degrees. He said this figure can make forward trim 6 degree. But I think , from the drawing in the web, 20 degree is natural transom angle. Which is right? Drawing shows 20 degree, and dealer said 14 degree. |

| Transom Angle For Yamaha 90 I have a service manual for a Yamaha F90. There is a drawing in the manual that indicates a transom bracket angle of 12 degrees for an outboard in a perfectly vertical orientation. The tilt and trim mechanism on this outboard permits an inward trim of 4 degrees (lower unit moving toward the transom resulting in bow trimming down) and an outward trim/tilt of 66 degrees as measured from the vertical. Hope this helps - Woodnaut. |
