as far as using pvc pipe as a guide. maybe i can use whole pvc pipe and run the fill hose through it. then have a pvc elbow at the end to help with the bend. this way i can regulate the pitch the whole length. what do you think?

Worth a try and shouldn't cost too much if not appropriate - not an engineer though, just using experience & lateral thinking - whatever that is - plumbing supplies & a rounded elbow - easier - else wrap it with heavy wire & gently heat bend - - the wire to stop it from kinking or flattening so you can push the hose through later... Have fun...

Good idea, but most elbow radii will be less than your min hose bend radius. Use the PVC as a sleeve guide to control sagging and if the hose is quite flexible, as I think you said, your bend may be self supporting. If the joint is stressed by the bend in the hose then you may need to make some kind of gripping support. You will know once the hose is in place.
