| Evinrude Lark 3 hEY GUYS I RECENTLLY BOUGHT AN OLD BOAT, CAME WITH THIS 1961 40 HP LARK 3 MOTOR WHICH I HEARD WAS RUNNING WELL A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. i LIKE ANOTHER POST IN HERE AM NOW ABOUT TO START IT.as a MATTER OF FACT I WOULDNT KNOW HOW LOL. MY QUESTION IS WHATS THIS MOTOR WORTH IF IT IS RUNNING GREAT?IS THERE A PLACE I CAN KINDA OF GET A SALE ON IT MAYBE? |

| sorry to say not worth much but it was a great motor in its day if it' s electric start and the control box is right all you have to do to start it is pump the primer till fuel gos to the carb (if two fuel lines its the pump on the fuel can to pressurize the can) then hold up on the choke switch and crank the engine once it starts let off of the choke if its manual start (have a good arm) open the hatch at the front of the engine and set the choke and start pulling (starting fuel does help but only a little bit at a time) something that can make eazier to start would let it warm up in the sun for a couple of hours without the cover on it (warm engines start better) |
