Maybe the choke is jammed

Is the choke auto or manual? If it's manual then maybe the lever is jammed so the choke is too open after the initial engine warm up period?

If the choke is the only option to run the engine, this is because you are having to compensate for excess air in the mix the whole time. Between the fuel tank and the jets is a leak or gap where the air is getting into the mix.

Check the whole series of hoses and parts through to the choke. I'm doing some research at the moment which will help solve this specific problem - easy descriptive explainations of how to fix this kind of problem.

This thread is almost 1.5 years old, I don't think it's still an issue, although he may respond and say what the problem actually was.

Have you tried changing your fuel supplier? Maybe the additives in the fuel are part of the problem. Different fuel - different additives?
