diagnostic tools

Can anyone tell me if a non authorised engineer is possible to obtain a diagnostic tool for mercury outboards?.
Here in greece only the authorised workshops can have them

Most manufacturers of any sort of engine, around here, will only sell their specialized equipment to technicians whom they have trained to use it. Doesn't mean there isn't a black market of course.....

Rinda Technologies has the mercury marine scan tool and the outboard attachments.

Diacom makes a Windows based diagnostic software. You use a regular laptop to troubleshoot Mercury, Volvo, PCM and others.
