What have you done this weekend...?

This is almost ready for trailing.

It looks delicious! What's under the frosting?
Your blog shows good progress!
I had my cake and I ate it too! :P

One half was chocolate and one half vanilla. Actually I haven't had any yet.

We had about 25 show up for our "keel laying" party. Plenty of left overs so I know what I'll be eating for the next two weeks.

I should have some more progress to report soon. Hopefully I can get the bottom panels on this week. It'll start looking like an actual boat soon. Thnx for looking in.

Fort DeSoto will probably be first, but Bahia Honda is on the short list. So are the Smoky Mountains. Many short trips between.

That is my boat trailer under that cabin, so it is still a boating thing, right? :)

More goodies from our friend Ray Martin. :D

It was a good party and words can't express how grateful we are to everyone who came. Anyone for leftovers? :P

Weekend stuff - - move my boat from the marina and secure it in some quiet cove somewhere :o - - so I can find a nice sandy bar on which to sit the boat whilst I replace the propellers eventually...

My weekend just started...5 glorious days off. Tomorrow I go get the plywood for my next build. I ordered Aquatek Meranti for the bottom, chine strake and sides (9mm, 6mm respectively) and Occume 6mm for the topsides and interior stuff. Trying to keep the weight down low while at the same time being able to actually afford to build it.

My week end started yesterday in the morning hours getting anestithysed happily to la la land, as I was casting my rod with spinner bait into a pool with precooked haddock with a side dish of mixxed vegies,.... In this delightful dream,.... My back was being subjected to a scalpal and an array or surgical apperati to overcome the effect of induced (extreme "G loads" aging ( at 51 years of age my L2-3-4-5 discs where compared to the likes of a back in the person in their early 100's) so now I had to settle with a dinner that was produced by Gorton's and the Green Giant( 3 G's of a diferent breed) in the luxierious surrounds of my wifes purple kingsize kingdom of slumber

Congrats, Knotty!

Keep it up and you'll be in the water before me!

I got the strongback put together for the cedar strip boat and ripped and scarfed a bunch of scrap wood I had laying around. I'm working on the best way to clamp and glue the pieces together to make the strips. I also got in the cutterheads for my strip cutter machine, looking around now for motors for it.
