Sorry to butt in on a private conversation but, by the sound of it your shoving the boat into the water on the back of the trailer, stern first? I get a feeling you have leaks in the back end somewhere! could be the rubber gaskets or small cracks on the quarters (happens, and God I hope not -if it is you have a bit of a rebuild on your hands!) Get that uppty smart ass old man of yours to seek some real help, don't keep double guessing; it's probably only minor but a fresh pair of eyes from an expert is probably all you need (there I've said it so now you can blame me! keeps the flak of you!)
