any reason when I rewire my boat to go to a WAGO setup rather that the bus bar original?

By WAGO, do you mean wiring your panel using WAGO-brand terminal strips rather than bus bar with screw terminals? (thought I'd clarify first before wasting time with a good lengthy discussion of experiences)

We have been using exclusively WAGO termination systems for our marine controls packages for about 12 years or more. Very 'orderly', compact, reliable and a wide range of options but pricey too. We have also used Weidmuller and Phoenix products and some of those are still our mix of products.
