| High Volume dc reversing ballast pump We are looking for a high volume (25gpm) reversing, DC ballast pump to be used in our Multi-hull. I have not been able to find one as yet. If need be we might be able to work with a hydraulic run pump. Must be salt water duty, does not need to draw to a head and not much of pump head (6ft) dry running would be a plus but not required. Any suggestions. |

| Only pumps with neoprene impellers, like PAR and Johnson, can work in both directions, although switching direction is a large burden for the impeller, especially if no fluid is present. It is better to use two non-contact water pumps with non-return valves.

| Thank you that was my assumption, I thought I'd try the fourm to see if there was something out there that I had not run across. These pumps will be in a very harsh environment anyway (oil skimmer vessel) so it will be better to plumb them individually. Thank you again for you contribution. |
