anchor/running light question

Hi, first post here and probably not the most exciting topic for you guys

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The original setup on my Trojan was a Perko combination mast/anchor light on the windshield and a dedicated anchor light up on the radar arch. The mastlight on the windshield is terrible because you lose all night vision.

I removed the windshield light and would like to use the anchor light for both running and at anchor. It's a 360 degree LED light. I pulled the 12v feed ("NAV" position) from the windshield up to the radar arch where the light is already installed. It's already connected to the other 12v feed operated in the "ANC" position.

So, I have a 2 wire LED light and two 12v+ feeds that work from the same switch available to me.

No matter what I try, I can't get anchor light to come on with my running lights in the "NAV" position and also come on WITHOUT my running lights in the "ANC" position.

I tried both of the switched 12v leads (one at a time) but still no luck. I'm hoping someone can tell me how to wire this so that everything comes on the "NAV" position and only the 360 comes on in the "ANC" position.

I used my powerprobe and tested each terminal on the switch, hopefully that helps.

With the switch facing the same way it's installed in the dash, here’s what I get on the 6 switch terminals in each of the 3 possible positions (----- equals a terminal)

Use the anchor light switch to light the anchor light and the nav light switch for the nav lights. Turn off the nav lights when you anchor.

The OP has a single switch

Try bottom left all around white and bottom right sidelights. This should work since bottom left is energized both positions and bottom right only when in nav position.

Does the bottom right contact change from negative to positive?

If he is checking that pole with a light fixture connected to it then it would read (-). He would be reading the ground path through the fixture when no current is being sent to that pole.
