| Wgat hulls as donors please Hi All A couple of days ago, I posted this message on an existing thread and now realise I should have started a new one. I'm new to this forum but not to boatbuilding or to the idea of building a tri from donor parts. Unfortunately, I have to sell the Simpson catamaran I built (see www.mainproject.info for details) and now want to build a trailerable trimaran. I could build a new centre hull, but prefer like the idea of modifying a surfboat or trailer sailer as a donor with Hobie 18 amas and a fabricated "fold up" folding system. There is probably already a thread on this topic but if anyone here has some advice, I'd be glad to have their input I'm located near Sydney so if anyone knows where to locate a suitable Hobie 18 at reasonable prices, please let me know. Regards to all Alan |
