Think those are clasps and that the hinges are below. The normal sailing loading is for the amas to want to fold upwards, this way the faces of the crossbeams sections are being pressed together. They can just as well remove ones kneecap though.

Any info on overall beam and where is the mast positioned? Seems very far forwards if it is on the cabin roof -the jib tracks are at the sides there.

    Weta

Discovered this accidentally on MA at the bottom of the page. It's a short, poorly done video of a new main for the Weta for light air. I don't know whether it's legal or not-probably not-but it sure looks good.

RHP, I'd sure like to see photos of the Weta with foils-any chance?

    Weta with foils

Thanks, Corley, that's pretty damn cool! Apparently, they're going to add a rudder T-foil as well. And so far only on one side....

I was watching some of the videos when I stumbled onto this one, a nice mono sailing video for a change.

I like the commentary... especially the "come on guys". Seems one needs a cattle prodder every where in life :p

It's like the guy you take sailing, he doesn't do any mind update or preparation, then happily blabber about this pole and that rope and this side or that side. You have to ask him what it is he's talking about half the time.
