    It seems to me that this whole discussion relates to Catamarans much more than Tris.
    On a Tri the back swept surface piercing Ama is not only visually pleasant, but is practical.
    The Vaka less so.
    Imagine handing the anchor on the narrow swept back foredeck, where it is practically impossible to avoid dragging the anchor over the fore topsides.:eek:

    That's how my KHSD F40 is drawn reverse bows on the floats plumb on the main hull it seems like a good approach on a trimaran where you have to deal with some of the mundane things like anchor handling. Big Ultime trimarans like BPV have a flotilla of ribs to help shepherd them round when docking a nice luxury when you can afford it.
