| "underwater" blocks for daggerboard system Hi All, I have my Shuttleworth Advantage 44 out of the water for some work and I'm looking to improve the system for raising and lowering the daggerboards. Specifically, there is a line block on each side that is trashed. The marine growth busted out the Delrin (?) sheave on each block. I have to go back and check but I believe these blocks are under water. If not, they are close. Anyway, I am wondering about what to use in place of these blocks. I was thinking about a machined Delrin (or other material) stationary block in place of the conventional blocks. Can anyone give me any ideas regarding this? Any and all thoughts are welcome. Thanks, Dave |
