a recent update from crew.org.nz thread:

    http://crew.org.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23198&start=40

    From Fish:

TVS and TA just passing flat rock, 11:10, TVS has about a 1 minute lead, both boats flying, as viewed by telescope from Whangaparaoa

    11:16
I can't quiet tell what's going on, but TVS don't appear to be sailing in the right direction, and TA look to be ahead, TVS appeared to be heading for Barrier for a bit, all off the back of Kawau, need a bigger telescope...

Giacomo north of Tiri channel now and smoking, 11:22

    11:24
Two square topped mains now north of Tiri Channel, probably multis one is bigger than the other, the little one has the legs

    Maybe Charleston & Taeping?.

TA gone out of sight around Kawau, TVS still mucking around North of Flat Rock

Thanks. According to their tracker they doing about 3 knots boat speed. Official tracker flickering for team Australia and an hour ago position. Vodafone obviously have turned their official tracker off. What does the rule state.

Disappointing. NZ biggest and most sort after premier yacht race in NZ waters by the yachting community and internationally and can't even get actual tracker viewing, reports ect - who's, who's and who's winning. Wonder what the sponsors think?

    Real poor in my opinion.

Correction. Chris Dickson as tactician and Mike Sanderson both Kiwi's beat Team vodafone with superor expertise.

How could you miss chris Dickson being in the crew.

So that's a fair margin of 37+? the a Aussies took line honours by, of course the top boats have no trouble attracting talent & a little local knowledge is great just to point out where the finish line is ........ & not overshoot & sail by........... at speed.... with plenty of time for a counter dinner & couple of bevvies at the pub.

Agree : But as just witnessed in the 34 th Americas cup.

average Tactician = loosing the cup
extreme Tactician = Winning the Cup

Average John K. & Ray Davies. Above average Ben.

They would suffer drinking our warm beer though would they not. No chilled glasses at our country pubs.

I guess he did not order fish & Chips Bistro Bar snack either.

    Yes.
