| tape drive vs moulded carbon membrane sails Just trying to make a decision as to what path to go down for racing sails on my kraken 25 I'm having a quote prepared at the moment by Ullman Sails. Tape drive seems like a reasonable compromise but unfortunately I dont know anyone who has a set or how they perform, any thoughts? |

| I'd go with your sailmakers recommendation. On my 16' foiler I used carbon reinforced material which worked well and looked good(to me). click on image:

| Seriously suggest you talk to Ben Kelly at Sailtech - details at http://www.sailtech.com.au/ Ben is arguably the most experienced sailmaker for boats of the class you have with many national titles winners to his credit. He is also honest! Alan |

| A quote is one thing, but advice is another. I'm sure Ben will put you in touch with the guy who had that tape drive made so you can get some feedback about performance Alan |
