a swim up for a dog

Any one have any ideas, i'm thinking of something about 2'wide with a three panel with 1/4 "by 1/2""cleat boards . How long, would be boat size and how high off the water, maybe with float's that hold up the end. And give the dog something to aim at to get up. never built one pure speculation

I've tried that once, but the dog didn't trust it and kept swimming until someone hauled him up to the bathing platform.

That is excellent. You can even keep a tether on the "handle".

Seems to me there is something in the 2010 WestMarine catalogue for this purpose.

It seems to me that a dog ramp should be submerged far enough for the hind leg to hit a step, and fairly rigid. A closed loop carpet would provide a claw hold.
