Steering feedback

Dear fellow earthlings

When you sail your cat, is it important to get some steering feedback to feel what the rudders are doing or is this something one can ommit ?

I have a remote steering system in mind, with that there would be no rudder kickback you can feel with your hands.

I'm trying to find out if the rudder feedback is something I have to worry about or not.
