small cruising tri design

    I just could not resist the temptation of a 3d doodle.

    Now if only cutting the plank was as little effort as creating the surface in CAD.....

    It is way too early for me to know, but I think at least flying the main hull is fair. As we have discussed, I have to consider the compression in the mast and staying within the limits.

    I think the beam between chainplates will be more than on the Prindle, I need to look and see how this influences the loads in the rig. It has been too long since I've done this for me to know offhand... Certainly the rigging angles at the hounds will be different.

    You need to give some thought to ama volumes, this is critical to target performance, and then this (and other factors) dictates ama shape.
