Quick Question Hi all, I have one quick question that has been in the back of my mind for a while. What is the difference between a pontoon boat and a power cat? Is the difference that pontoons are enclosed? Because to me they look kind of similar.

Pontoons are usually each a simple shape section with a bow fashioned. Pontoons are usually sealed with the "boat" built on top. I would differentiate catamarns from pontoon boats as catamarans make use of the hull space for mechanical / accommodation spaces. Catamarans typically have more complicate hull sections than pontoons.

Ok, that is kind of what I was thinking. But now can I ask what the difference is between a Power cat and a tunnel hull?
