New sail TNT 34

Polish shipyard Bond Yachts is started new project TNT34(The New Trimaran 34), after 10 years of making Motorcats (www.motorcat.com) Before 2000 They provided with Quadcat project which was ambitious way to fold catamaran. You can see video of Quadcat at U Tube . The new TNT will have new way of folding not like any other tri .Swing wing is done by Dragonfly and Farrier has its own system for years. This is a new approach of pivot/telescopic system of folding and has numerous advantages plus allows TNT to have 8.5 m(28 ') on 10.4 m(34 ') boat. This extra beam makes TNT ultra fast due to 25 % extra sail area . .After years of improving folding They started the project in Nov .2009 . Hulls are almost completed and we are working on beams and top. Potential completion within 4 -5 months .See attached. Can you suggest how to lunch this project and make is as new "kid on the bloc" as internationally as possible.

Tnt 34

We believe this will be much faster boat that DF and faster than F 36
(much nicer finch in line with MC) but with practical folding and trailerbilty. Since I want one TNT 34 for myself I had to satisfy my family for space
inside and in the cokcpit. See attached inside and cockpit view . For more info please write to motorcat@tlen.pl

TNT 34 - folding

This new way of folding that combines pivoting and telescoping into one
makes the folding the most practical. Advantages :
• TNT folding system allows for the largest beam compared to similar trimaran thus extra sail area
• ultra stable at 8.5 beam on 10.3 m length = 82 % beam to length ratio
• when folded TNT is stable whether mooring or motoring
• very quick folding in by using winches of less than 1 minute which makes this trimran practical
• floats are not subjected to marine growth
• to trailer no beam or float removal is needed which saves time and effort

Trailer beam has 2.95 m , marina folded is 3.9 m and under sail 8.5 m, which is more that others competition.
This extra beam is more sails thus speed . Mast rotating 15 m with main
jib70 m2. The height of the boat on trailer with beams up is 14 feet.
Please note two steering stations .TNT 34 fits container and mast is made of two pieces ie shipping costs are low.

TNT 34 Complex Data :
• Length 10.4 m (34’)
• WL 10.0 m(33 ‘)
• Unfolded beam 8.5 m ( 28 ‘)
• Beam folded marina mode 3.8 m (12.4 ‘)
• Beam trailer mode 2.9 m (9.5 ‘ like MC 30)
• Disp. 1.5 T
• Mast 15 m =49.2 ‘
• Sail Area - rigging and sails .They are 15-20 % larger than comparable size trimaran
• Power O/B or Diesel 20 hp to push up to 9-11 knots
• Two hydrofoils at 55 deg (optional )they supply 50 % lift at
• Bottom flat to encourage early planning,
• Floats skinny at 1:22 ratio. Lots of buoyancy forward to prevent pitchpole.
• Floats 210 % plus hydrofoils 50 % (effective from 8 knots and up)
• Bow on the main hull is plumb and floats reversed as on modern Tri i.e.axe bow
• Dual steering station for power like on MC 30 and tiller under sail
• Large open cockpit

No , never ever.
I estimate an empty weight of at least 1,9to, which means a realistic weight on the trailer of about 2.2to.

Yes , it was mistake in my text above . Our goal is 1600 kg instead 1500 kg I wrote . We are specialst in building multihulls as a very light boats ( sandwich ) . Please visit our web site with power cats www.motorcat.com . The weight of MC 30 fully equipped with power installed ( twin 60 HP outboards ) is about 2200 kg

Please define "fully equipped".
And u really believe that your 34΄tri with variable beam can come in with 1600Kg ?
The all-carbon Seon 96 ( about 32`) weights 1380Kg, incl. outboard.

What`s the secret of your boat ?
