I was simply looking at the OP's original criteria. Beyond those criteria, what draws me to it most is the sensible but powerful sailplan, daggerboards, comfortable accomodations below (real double beds?), very workable cockpit with a 360 degree unobstructed view, and easy access forward and aft. I think a different portlight design and some graphics on the flat aft sections would add to its visual appeal.

Another One One might also consider Simpon's Ground Effect design. Same semi-bridgedeck configuration but a bit more attractive.

Shuttleworth also has a 28 http://www.john-shuttleworth.com/Images.html scroll down the page. Simpson also has the 8.2 Backslash http://boatcraft.com.au/Shop/index.p...b37487aacbf34c The Simpson would be considerably cheaper and easier to build than the Shuttleworth. RR
