    Sounds a great idea. Certainly I'll post when I've got it all ready. But as yet even I cannot quite build one - almost but not quite

    And maybe the Laser rig option will make sense. It drops into a slot in the foredeck so the CofE to CLR distance stays correct

    Obviously from a sailing point of view it makes sense to stay as wide as possible, but I agree that the mast should stay up when folded. So I have actually drawn a "keel" stepped mast with a mastgate (similar to say a Wayfarer dinghy) so the shrouds can be removed without the mast falling down
