Missing boards

I see from other pictures of searunners, that there are 4 boards that go from the main hull to amas, 2 aft and 2 forward, at the end of the netting.

In this picture I have a 1x2 laying where one belongs

I do not have any of these pieces and was wondering how they should built.

They look like 1x but they have to be strong enough to walk on.

Maybe a piece of the new plastic wood they are using for decks.

Forget about plastic decking. It has no strength at all. NO 1 x anything will support a person's weight at any span like you've got there. You need to find a Searunner near you to look at. Otherwise, you'll be guessing at prtetty much everything on the boat.

On a Searunner 31 those boards are finished out at 1 1/2"+ thick, or standard 2" stock.

They only span 40".
Maybe I can shape a 2x4 or 2x6 to fit.
