| Hi all Luigi you are right lets get back on track, as Albert said good promotional blurb, with a good explanation of torque and HP, but we are talking of a low cost cat which is subject to weight considerations, Volvo Penta genset, ouch, expensive parts, and we are adding more components and complicating the system somewhat, more things to go wrong. We are all different though and if thats what you want to do....... One thing I have an issue with if you are at low revs you have probably shut the throttle and don't want a lot of torque on the prop. 1800-2000 revs should give you 4-5 knots, if you want to go quicker then open the throttle if you can stand the noise. Each to his own, my own dreamboat if I had the werewithall would be a Folkboat, Bukh twin pot diesel 12HP, if the batteries fail to start the beast, pop down the decompression levers and wind her up. Wonder what it would cost in red cedar, *****, ***** *****!! Mind you I am an illogical guy with little imagination and happy with the tried and tested noisemaker to get in and out of harbour and then get the sails up. Wheres me armchair. |

Alik, Great job in promoting yourself to potential clients reading this thread. I am sure that they will appreciate your open-minded attitude and willingness to consider information from other sources in the marine industry. Only marine engineers need to be considered as your clients. By the way the maximum continuous amps for the E3000 is 100. Try reading specs rather than headings. In terms of feedback, I understand that the catamaran dive boat that you designed for use in Pattaya wallows like a pig and makes everyone seasick! Perhaps you are not as perfect as you would like to think. |

Interesting about electric motors because it has outboards in the photo! I understand from your spec it was supposed to carry a load of 2750kg but according to previous posts this would sink it! See posts #59, #83, #84, #87 |

Send inquiry to the supplier - they say they tested this device in swimming pool, at what Amps, how many hours? They recommend to run it at 40-60Amps - why? Can You run it at 100Amps for 8 hours?Do You agree that E3000 motor matches 20/25HP diesel/outbard is fake statement? If yes, how You can trust rest of specs? Quote:
We have positive feedback from the owner of this boat, due to his recommendations there were other few sisterships delivered You can see launching record of this model on builder's web. For those who wants to see MSI/MIF seasickness factors for our cats - strictly in numbers, without bla-bla-bla - we can do the sea trials with 6-component acceleration gauge (I have this gauge, connected to computer for real-time record, we use it for sea trials) There are about 10 builders around the world building our cats now, different designs. |

The boat in fact was carrying 12 persons in the sea trials . perfectly on the waterline . low free board as required by the expert Also Concerned ![]() These pics prooved all , so seems to me . May be not enough for you ? The payload and the displacement are 2 different thigs ; i know that this fact can be a surprise for you , but please believe me or ask around . If you did see the specs supplied by Also Concerned , then , "what is written near near 2,750 kgs ?" Amazingly for you , the boat can carry 24 persons and , what a surprise , don't sink !! Ma vaffanculo , cretino . |

| In rather odd timing since I believe they (and others) have defended themselves strongly in the middle of this thread and it has taken a different direction today, we received the following message from RB PowerSailing just now: Quote:
