    ==================
    Gary, as you've proved countless times when you try to insult my boat you don't know what you're talking about: the leading edge of ama UptiP foil on Macif is 54% of the overall length of the boat forward. But on the Fire Arrow the leading edge of the ama UptiP foil is 68% of the overall length of the boat forward.
    Wrong again, and again, and again.........I know you were talking about Macif above-but I agree that the forward foil position on the Fire Arrow is "sensible and intelligent" as well. Thanks.

    Correct, the main emphasis of my foil position comments was referring to Macif and also the the uptuned Mod 70s and the like, not your pathetic overfoiled toys which are draggy and very slow, in fact you could say, that they are abject failures as foiling example designs. Yet you continue to post your dopey images of them.
    Isn't it about time for you to shift your posterior onto a full sized boat?
    But maybe that would require too much energy and too much physical and reality concentration - but it would spare everyone of your ad nauseum posts here?

    There are some very short cuts, maybe one or two seconds to windward, a few more reaching, about 25 seconds in all. For me it confirms that this boat is mostly a skimmer, at least in those conditions. It would be good to know the details of the conditions and boat speed.

    I agree, they are clearly not trying to fly too high with this foil package it's mostly geared towards keeping the float from submerging to any significant degree.

    Thanks, Corley. Not quite as good as the first Gitana video on foils. Be interesting to see if they intend to foil the boat in lesser conditions.... I wouldn't see any reason for using an uptip foil (with automatic altitude control) if they intended to stay with foil assist? But there is a big (apparent) difference in the size of this ama foil compared to the Gitana MOD 70 foils.

    Macif at the Transat feeder start

    Here's MACIF at the start line for the Transat Bakerly feeder from St Malo last night. Impressive to see how they push the boats in quite confined water with a lot of traffic about.

    Sodebo

    Just to be fair, here is Sodebo moments later. They were more conservative with the start, but don't seem short of pace!
