    Richard Woods Woods Designs

It's Friday evening and time for some light relief after a week of forum discussions.

    So a question:

How many forum members does it take to design a trailable offshore multihull?

    Answer:

1 to design the boat and to post that it has been designed

14 to now admit they have also designed such a boat, and that their boat is better

7 to caution about the dangers of offshore sailing in trailable multihulls

6 to argue over whether it's "trailable or "transportable" ...

another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is
    "micromultihull"

15 know-it-alls who claim they are also in the industry, and that "trailable multihull" is perfectly correct

19 to post that this forum is not about trailering and to please take
this discussion to a trailer forum

11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use trailers and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum

5 People to post pics of their own trailable multihulls

7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different trailable multihulls

4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the
    corrected URL's

13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including
all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they
cannot handle the trailable multihull controversy

4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

13 to say "do a search on trailable multihulls before posting questions about
    trailable multihulls"

1 moderator to lock the trailable multihull thread.

1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and
    start it all over again.

Apologies and thanks to the originator of the above.

This is not a grovel but just a thought! When it's your cat Richard then all it needs is one! You!! Cos your stuff IS good! Incidentally I don't like cats, never have probably never will but credit where credit's due they DO have their uses and Richard yours are some of the better ones to come out of that smelly little creek you call home!! And there's a fair few come out of there ain't there?!!

Did my initial comment sound a bit on the nose?
I must agree with walrus...Richard Woods designs good boats.

Walrus, you don't like cats? Cats are like bicycles, and monos are like uni-cycles. (I just thought of that....I hope no-one else did).

Richard - no issues with me - you may become a proficient Russian fisherman yet (throwing red herrings about) - don't worry about the walrus, he mostly loves tossing herrings down his gullet (red or otherwise) - to go with the ever handy mariners favourite libation. - - I am sure he rides a "penny-fathing" with panache and consummate skill..... and I agree with you see "memorable quotes"
