Honestly I would go for a good epoxy/glass ir dynel or etc... membrane and mix nonskid (from your paint store) in with the deck paint. It is what I do and has the benefit of being renewed with the paint.

You have no choice but to remove the non-skid. The material coming up is likely polyester based. It has lost its bond to the plywood, which is inevitable when polyester is used rather than epoxy. The hard part is discovering it's an ongoing process. It will continue elsewhere. You've only seen the final stages of delamination in a few places. It might be a good time to assess whether you ought to address the entire deck, grinding off what won't come off easily, after which you would apply a new non-skid over an epoxy base that's well bonded to the plywood. Not good news, but I think that's what's going on.

It is growing dang. ![]() I have been pulling it up untill it seems solid. I then feather the edges with the grinder. I guess I had better go over the whole boat and fix it all at the same time. It is only this part of the fore deck that is real bad. Sure am glad the plywood is good Can I get what need to fix it at Home Depot?

Depending on the quantity you need, how urgently you need it, and how much you are willing to pay, West Marine has stores almost everywhere. Use their store locator: http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs...11151_10001_-1 For good prices and an incredible selection, use Jamestown: http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/main.do Finally, nobody knows plywood boats like Glenn L. Witt. He literally wrote the book (Boatbuilding With Plywood). Glen-L is based in Bellflower, California, and they sell boat building supplies. http://www.glen-l.com/
