Here's Biscuits Cantreau 4. Note very different dagger/foil lengths, also the near square main hull transom, compared to No. 3.

I noticed on outrig.org that John Glennie is going to release a book about his experiences while cruising on the 35' trimaran "highlight" that they built themselves the book will be called "Playboys of the South Pacific" and chapter 9 is presented in .pdf form and is a great read.

I notice on the NZMYC website/noticeboard that BC4/AGIR has competed in its first race after launching in Auckland with the lake rig dont think they will have any problems with power to weight ratio.

Compared to the Trimaran the Proa looks like an amputee.

Yep:D I do think however that the proa's have their own aesthetic, though different and not quite as pleasing as a trimaran. I think what makes them look awkward is the buoyancy pod on the modern proas, pretty important though, apparently the one on the Dick Newick designed "cheers" was added after the boat capsized in mild conditions to provide some righting moment and help the boat back onto it's feet.

    A few from the archives

Bad Kitty, formerly Tardis. Designed and built by my late father Karl Uthoff almost 30 years ago.

And Twixt, with her original rig.

Robbie. I had three great pics of Bad Kitty with your dad on board. The shots showed her leaping a wave, but I lost them when I got a new computer and my son accidentally wiped everything off of the old hard drive.
Here is the only pic I have now.

Biscuits Cantreau 4/Agir is a little worse for wear the main hull snapped off cleanly at the front beam. Photos courtesy of Matty on the crew.org.nz forums.

Hmmm... disturbing, you certainly don't expect such a clean break.

    Anybody knows what happened.
