Grainger Rascal 25 Foiler

Here some shots of and a link to the website for this boat. He says he is using "J" foils because they need to be able to be retracted and the amas have a rudder T foil.
I don't see how a foil like this can be used to fly the boat because there is not intrinsic altitude control as there is with UptiP foils. There must be a plan-maybe not full flying?
I found this: Float mounted rudders with a connecting link bar are proposed as standard equipment. Daggerboard and case in the main hull will provide the primary lift to windward and it is possible that lifting foils in the floats will be offered as an option.
Must be considering foil assist though, so far, most foil assist tri's don't have ama T-foils. Cool stuff!

Doesn't need wandering wands flailing about on an open sea boat; this is a long float trimaran with foil assist. Looks good to me.

The problem with that is those alphabet foils would probably lift the whole boat in the right conditions but there is no control? Generally, most foil assist tri's don't have rudder t-foils on the amas.
